The Form H and D models are advanced high-density Network Video Recorders (NVRs) boasting optimized design configurations. The Form H model necessitates a deeper rack mount due to its longer form factor. A key distinction between these models lies in their out-of-band management features, which are essential for remote system maintenance. Form D is equipped with iDRAC while Form H utilizes iLo technology. This allows IT managers to select the model that best aligns with their current security framework, ensuring seamless integration and management within their existing infrastructure.

An NVR system or a Network Video Recorder system, is a type of video security system that records video footage and stores it on a digital storage device, typically a hard drive, over a network. Aviiglon NVR is capable of applying AI analytics to the video while it’s recording.

NVR uses IP cameras for higher video quality and network-based storage, allowing easier scalability and remote access. DVR differs from NVR because it uses analog cameras with lower video quality and coaxial cables, making it less scalable.

An NVR system stores video footage on digital storage devices, typically hard drives, within the NVR unit. The IP cameras send video data over a network to the NVR, where it is recorded and managed.

Wired NVR cameras use Ethernet cables for data and power (via PoE), offering stable connections but requiring cable management. Wireless NVR cameras connect via Wi-Fi, simplifying installation but needing a power outlet and have reliability dependent on signal strength. Wire-free NVR cameras use Wi-Fi or cellular connections and are the easiest to install with no cables, but these cameras rely on batteries, requiring periodic recharging or replacement.

Choose a system with a user-friendly interface for easy setup and management and high-resolution cameras for clear images. Ensure the system has ample storage capacity with options for expansion. PoE support simplifies installation by combining power and data transmission over one cable. Remote access allows you to view footage from anywhere on a smartphone or a computer. Motion detection alerts you to unusual movement, reducing the need to manually review hours of footage. Advanced video analytics, such as Appearance search, LPR, facial recognition and object tracking, are important for enhanced security.
